Nike Vapor Jacket

It’s cold. It’s raining. And a bitter wind is whipping through the trees.

But you need to run.

Don’t let the elements keep you from your 4-miler; suit up in one of our newest jackets then get your run on.

NIKE VAPOR JACKET
A few ounces of weight, but tons of shelter from all the elements.

The jacket for every occasion, the men’s and women’s Vapor includes:

-A DWR (durable water resistant) water-repellent treatment provides protection in wet conditions to help you stay comfortable and dry, without preventing breathability.

-Lightweight woven and perforated woven fabrics deliver comfort, protection and breathability, without added weight or distraction.

-Front zip chest pocket provides easy access to small-items storage while on the run. Internal audio pocket with a cord exit allows for secure storage for a small media player.

-Adjustable hood provides warmth and protection.

Kara Goucher for Nike Running

I chose to start running, not just to get back in shape, but to prove to myself that if I can push my limits day in and day out with each run than I can apply the same method in any choice in my life. It’s more than just running for me. Great video.

Jets vs. Colts Preview

The day has come upon us. The New York Jets face off against the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship. The winner of this game goes on for a shot at the Super Bowl against the winner of the Vikings-Saints game. Quite frankly, this is a tough pick for me because I am a fan of none of these teams (New York Giants all the way!). I will say though, that my heart of hearts is leaning towards the Jets because of the underdog stigma they carry, along with the fact that the team is NY-based. On the flip side, I feel I must remain loyal to the conference in which the Giants play in, NFC. The Saints also have a lot to be proud of and a shot at the Super Bowl would be a great ordeal for the city of New Orleans.

All in all, this afternoon looks to be packed with plenty of good football.

Tune into the Jets game at 3 P.M. ET.

1/22/2010- NY Knicks vs LA Lakers Recap

A trip to Madison Square Garden came about when I recieved word that the homies, Jean and Fudge, would be coming to town. We decided to catch the game at the garden due to the fact that “One over Jordan”, Kobe Bryant, was going to be in town. Granted, Kobe Bryant is a phenomenal player, but that in no way, shape or form factored in my decision to see the game. That will bring me back to my next topic shortly, but the game itself turned out to be a bit of fun. We managed to find our seats; since the house was packed, it became difficult to get a seat anywhere.

Now, on to my topic about these fake ass new-age Knick fans: What the hell are you thinking? Is New York this soft? Have all the real New Yorkers moved to New Jersey, Miami or L.A. (hmmm… Spike Lee)? It was upsetting, to say the least, to hear the garden chanting “M-V-P” to Mr. Bryant. Again, the man is pure greatness, but I remember the days when Michael Jordan became a nobody once he stepped foot in the garden. There’s no way a true Knick fan would come out of his face and root for the opposing player (btw, I am a Michael Jordan fan, ha!). There’s something sacred about playing in MSG, even a bit glorious for opponents trying to defend their skills on the court.

New York, we need you back…desperately. We miss the old you. I’d like to see more blue and orange in MSG and no more “gold and purple”. Give me Sunset Park, give me Eddie!

Sincerely Yours,

Victor ‘I LOVE NEW YORK’ Matos
